People have until Sunday night to complete the voting process for the people’s choice award. Remember to LIKE the facebook page and then cast your vote. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, April 24th at 1pm on the Quad.
Happy voting!

Cindy Pierce was a hit!

Cindy Pierce joined us on campus yesterday to talk about Relationships and Sexual Health. Her comedic approach, researched information and blunt honesty was engaging for the audience and relevant for people of different ages and backgrounds. She drew a crowd of over 80 people and had the crowd laughing, and gasping, together with her. Cindy was approachable and even stayed late to answer questions and chat with those wanting to talk with her one-on-one.

Below are some pictures from the event.

Same-Sex Marriage: A Civil Debate

We packed the McKinney Theatre last Thursday, March 7, as we welcomed Maggie Gallagher and John Corvino who debated the issue of Same-Sex Marriage. Each guest presented their side and engaged the audience. The attendees were very polite as we had supporters of each side. Following the debate we hosted a 20-minute Q&A where important questions were raised with informative answers from each of the debaters.

We were pleased and excited to be able to host these two educated and well spoken guests to share on this current issue.

Campus Life Squad Day – Mar 5

We welcomed entertainer Kevin Miso to campus today. He performed on the quad for an hour while students, staff and guests enjoyed lunch from the Sexy Burger Food Truck and visited different booths at the transfer fair. It was a busy day on the quad. Good thing the rain held off for all the festivities.

CLS Day – March 5th

Image

Kyle Reynolds came out and performed on Wednesday at our Campus Life Day! We had students settled into lawn chairs enjoying the music, and the sunshine, on this busy day!

The quad was full of people enjoying club rush, the food truck, and the band. Club rush hosted a progress ice-cream sundae event where attendees could get a bowl of ice-cream and visit each club to get a different topping. It was such a hit and wildly successful for clubs (it was a nice ice-breaker).

We maximized on the holiday, and our sugar options, by bringing in Crepes Bonaparte Food Truck. They served up both sweet and savory crepes for a few hours on the quad. We hope you had the chance to stop by and enjoy one!

Flip Truck food truck and DJ Rad Science – coming 1/24

We are kicking off the semester with a food truck and guest DJ out on the Quad in upper campus. We will have the Flip Truck serving really, REALLY good sliders and guest DJ Rad Science with music entertainment while you eat. In addition, ICC will be having a club rush from 11am – 1pm. Come out and see what’s happening, enjoy food and some music this Thursday, January 24!

Conceptual Office Design

Here is a sneak peak of the office decorations for Student Development. With the new office design we have attempted to create a more inviting, collaborative space. We want our office to reflect that so below are some photos of our plan to complete the office with artwork and functional pieces.
